You develope good ways of sneaking around modern equiptment and stealing things after reading Tom Clancy's "Splinter Cell" and watching James Bond films. I still have many more ways of doing things, but that list is the current setup.
Lol, so that's what Fyrdona does when she wants to get something. I'd hate to have been around her in the medieval era.

No, normaly she'd just slaughter everybody and blast her way through the front door XD but I'm assuming we're trying to avoid casualties in this case XD

Why is he trying so soon in the roleplay? I think that since it's going to be a fairly difficult thing, that it needs more planning for certain. For instance, Taka doesn't even know that the enchantments are back up yet, not to mention that now that Meagan knows that he's been sneaking around, she's going to be more suspicious than usual....
As for Taka's experience dealing with such things, I doubt him having read a book has at all prepared him for doing something like that. Remember, he can't be great at everything. I think it would be far more interesting if his character realized that and tried to put together a team of people to take care of the things that he might not be suited for.
This could be really fun, but you have to be careful to not have any character just manage to do a lot of (extremely) difficult things on their own. XD

How many people has Fyrdona killed? Nevermind.
Yes, we are trying avoid casualties and to make it look like nothing ever happened in the first place. The files wil simply disappear in their eyes.

Actually Taka learned how to do this stuff when he was alive, but one of his attempts failed and it got him killed. So, let's just say he's not perfect. However, if Taka would need help in any of these areas it would be the distractions. He can't be in two places at once. As for Meagan, she has no idea about his plans, but she does know that he is searching for a past student of the school and that's about it. I have certain ways for Taka dealing with getting the teacher off his back.
(((Now I know I have read too many Tom Clancy books.)))

I guess I just feel like it's a little much for one character. It just seems a little early in the semester for really dramatic moves of a risky nature. I'd feel the same way if it were any character attempting to do something huge like this.

How about I put more devices and security to make it so Taka is forced to accept help? There is a limit even with the US, EU, and Russian Federation on security the deems a station impossible for a single agent to penitrate.
I will also move it back to tomorrow night in the role play.

Even if there is a limit on security in the mundane world, that doesn't mean that there's one in the magical world. I honestly don't think that more devices need to be added, as it's a magical institution.
How about some sort of passkey that the students need to figure out. It could send them on a hunt for the right answers. Or an enchantment that it will take several of them to break?
As you can probably tell, I really like cooperative play instead of a one-man hero gig. I think it's much more fun when several people are in on it and characters are forced to work together.
I think of this sort of plot, and I see it as a big deal. Like maybe one character gets caught in an enchantment and can't escape, so the others have to help, or something like that. My imagination just goes wild, and like I said, I think it's so much more fun to have the characters working together instead of just one player running the show.
Does any of that make sense? What do you think?

I agree with you. A small adventure for our characters sounds awesome and it is much better than just a one man spec ops teams. Your magic security suggestion would give Taka a tough time since he was human and only good with getting by modern security devices. Taka does not know too much about magical defensive techniques and that would definitly be one of the securty fields protecting the building that he wants to intrude.
How about you develope magical security tactics and ways to get past them, while I deal with the technical stuff? You will also need a reason for your character to want to help. Does he want something that is in a common area? What is in it for him?
This is getting good.
